Serious question, if you were going to buy at 3/4 ton diesel, what would you buy? I have been leaning Ford Superduty but the death wobble nonsense has made me hit the pause button. Was going to look at the new Dodge. Not really a GMC/Chevy diesel fan.

The new Rams are very nice. Smooth ride & very quiet. Been thinking of trading my '16 Ram 3/4 in on one.

I owned a Ram diesel for years. It was a 2011 and an excellent truck. Outside of that, I've been a GM person and have had no issues with them.

I've considered Ford before, just never have bought one.

This is correct. I have no vested interest, but I've been to every major tire company headquarters in the world and most of the bigger plants. Michelin has the smartest folks, the best run operation, and their tires perform the best. I didn't know the first thing about tires before I started selling product into the industry, but now Michelin is all I buy.

Death wobble can be caused by leveling kits. If you do not put appropriate cams you will get a negative castor which will give you death wobble. Had a 10 dodge that had bad death wobble. Couldn't figure out why so jetted for 12 Ford. Same springs same problem. Found out new castor adjusting cams were required. Changed and never had problem again.

It is really hard to beat Michelin's on a truck or SUV. My only complaint is that they don't have a true alternative to the BFG all-terrain... but I doubt they would ever develop or release a tire that competes with one of, if not the best, BFG brand tires.

I put a set of Goodyear ultra terrains on my 07 F-350. I liked them so well, I put them on my wife's Excursion and my work F-150.

My 07 is my farm truck and spends most of its life off road chasing or feeding cattle, checking sprinkles and wells and the occasional trip to town for parts or to haul a load of cattle. I've taken it on 10 hour trips and the tires perform really well (time to rotate them as a matter of fact).

My work pickup is mostly highway miles but I work in the irrigation industry so I need some aggressive tread to get into some places, then hop right back on the highway. The tires have been great and have become the standard that my co workers have gone to for tires throughout the US. My co worker in Utah says they are awesome in the deep snow and snow packed roads.

My wife's excursion is mostly highway miles with occasional off-road chasing cattle or bringing parts to the field. And she likes that they are quiet. The last set of BFG's we had were so stinking loud she couldn't talk on the hands free system we had installed.

My house/home office looks like a dang car dealership. Between the dedicated cake truck, our personal and work vehicles there are 7 parked at my house. And only 2 licensed drivers live there.

Go look at the dodge. I've got the new 3/4 ton Laramie package and it's awesome.
