It is probably fine, I almost signed up for it years ago when buying something online, as it seemed to be very convenient... about the same time is when I started noticing odd purchases on a couple of credit cards and then learned I had some cards out there I never opened. Long story short, I paid more money than I wanted to get issues resolved, it took a year to clear up.
I closed several accounts, opted out of any auto drafts and decided not to link any 3rd parties to my credit account or bank account.
Only have 1 credit card, (that I only use for work expenses so it is 100% reimbursed), a debit card and checks for bills, cash for known purchases each week (groceries, spending money, etc)
It's not fool proof/hack proof, but I can monitor things a lot better and not worry as much when XYZ company has a data breach.
