The family has about a half-section of land between Goldthwaite and Brownwood and the fences really need to be replaced. Does anyone know anybody in those parts that does fencing, and what kind of price per foot would I be looking at to remove the old fence and replace it? (probably 4-5 ft tall field fence with 2 strands of barbed wire atop).

Thanks in advance.

Carlisle fencing in Mullin and then Stegemoller Fencing.

They are probably back logged.

OK, I think I'd heard of Carlisle before. Is Stegemoller related to the realtor?

Canyon - we've got it leased for grazing right now, but if that changes, I'll contact you.

<bump>

Also, we've got a stock tank at this place that needs to be cleaned out/fixed up. Does anyone know a good dirt/dozer guy in this neck of the woods?

Thanks.

My brother and his son run a small dozer company out of San Saba. Email me if you want his phone number for a quote. He might also know a fence guy for you. He's lived in the area for decades. TheTexaspi@gmail.com

Is your brothers setup near Algerita?

Both those fencing contractors do dirt work.

Another guy local to the area is Dan Eoff for dirt work. He is as good as they come

Thanks for all the feedback. Spoke to Carlisle yesterday and also heard good things about them from other folks up there.

What's the going lease rate for a good pasture with good fences going for these days?

Around $10/acre in that area for an annual grazing lease

The places I run are anywhere between 5-12 dollars an acre depending on forage, water, and pens. Really any more than that and there's not much profit in it without overgrazing which I don't do. I'd be open to talking to you about leasing it from you. Username @ gmail
