One that is quiet and stealthy?

Dang squirrels are back to nest. I have been live trapping them for years but now ready to just off them. I live close quarters though to neighbors who feed them.

I have a BB gun but that just bounces off them.

Gamo brand .177 pellet gun with scope.

I bought a $25 chinese air rifle (underlever, .177 cal) from Northern Tool .com several years back. It was awesome! Put a .22 scope on it, and i may have killed squirrels out to 40 yards. (Allegedly... I would never actually do it, since air rifles are not an approved method of taking squirrels in Texas!)

The gun was so good (powerful and accurate) I bought 2 more. Shipping was almost as much as the gun itself, and shipping for 2 was only slightly higher than shipping for one. The original died, but the backup is still going strong. I gave the other one to my Dad and it's still at his house. I looked just now and I don't see them for sale, but if you can find one (heavy wood stock) somewhere, it might be worth a try.

this image from Amazon is almost exactly what mine looks like:

+1 gamo. Have had mine for many years now and it still works great.

ammo selection is key, too. There are actually "hollowpoint" pellets, and they are MUCH MUCH more effective than regular round-nose pellets.

https://www.amazon.com/Crosman-Hollow-Point-Pellets-0-177-Calibre/dp/B002DM0ZIU/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1517759551&sr=1-2-catcorr&keywords=.177+pellets

These babys work! If the shot is long enough that there's separation between the report of the rifle and the pellet hitting the target, you can actually hear it hit. Sounds like a little baseball hitting a little catcher's mitt!

Fortunately for you, TX law has changed to allow the taking of squirrels with airguns. There is a minimum velocity and pellet requirement, but these are practically worthless as the requirements don't reflect a true minimum power level, which is what was really needed.

Tree-rats are the only game animal you can legally take with an airgun.

Between the number of squirrels and a readily available food source nearby, you do realize you're wasting your time? It's like being the only human left on an earth filled with zombies and all you have is a .38 revolver, unlimited ammo, and the rest of your life......good luck.

I have 2 airguns that make quick work of squirrels

The old classic Benjamin pump .177. 5-6 pumps is enough to drop one with a head shot.
Crossman T77 breakover also in .177. I bought it off of a Groupon a few years back for pretty cheap. Came with a scope on it too. I wasn't expecting much from it for the price but its held up well and my kids like to shoot it too. Easier for them than pumping the Benjamin.

Gamo and Benjamin air rifles are the way to go.

That being said, my grandpa has been in a battle with squirrels for some time now. His body count is over 300 and they still keep coming back

Ruger 10/22 rifle with CCI Quiet .22 bullets is the answer.

Here you go, spend some time on this site:
https://www.pyramydair.com

A decent cheap one good for squirrels is the Benji Nitro in .22 caliber:

Comes with a scope and built-in suppressor for 129.00 with a 20.00 rebate at the moment.

I did A LOT of research and ultimately purchased the Hatsan 95 from Air Gun Depot.

NO RAGRETS, not even one!

This is such an accurate air gun for the price. High quality and I've had for over a year now and still haven't mounted the included scope because the iron sights do just fine. Lost count of the limb chicken harvested. I have neighbors so I wanted something quiet; this is the one.

Literally the best bang for your buck out there.

This is what I have. The stock trigger has an insanely long and somewhat inconsistent pull, so I upgraded to a CharlieDaTuna trigger. It's a night and day difference. I then scrapped the scope that came with it and bought a BSA Essential 3-9x40 AO scope.

It's a hell of a shooter now.

A conibear 110 with a pecan as bait. At least you don't put a projectile in the air.

It's a great gun to mod and you don't feel bad if you mess up because it's so cheap. If someone is willing to drop another hundred bucks, the Benji Trail NP2 has a better trigger and a nice synthetic stock. Also in that price range ($200), I love my Umarex Octane.

Might as well just suggest a shotgun then.

Who cares if he got neighbors nearby, right?

I won a Crossman break-open .177 a few years ago at a Duck's Unlimited banquet. Approximately 1,000 fps muzzle velocity, doesn't matter much what you put in it-it's deadly on squirrels. Came with a cheap scope which I removed and now use open sight only. My 14-year old is getting good work on shooting an open sight air rifle, too. Too many dead squirrels to count!

Head shot should work. Body shot on a larger one likely not.
