Cabelas in Waco is crowded right now due to Christmas and the gun section is nuts with people sweeping the damn store.

I'm almost of the mindset they need an area for people to handle weapons so they're not putting the barrel in someone's face like i saw the other day.

Shot on private land my whole life. Been to a range once and it was pretty horrifying. Hope to never go back. I think the biggest issue is bit knowing who is shooting around you or exactly where they might be at all times.

Today I heard a different story from what was told on the news. A coustomer picked up a gun off the counter that wasn't his or maybe a gun off the rack in the office. He pointed it out the window, aimed it at the victims head and pulled the trigger. He was in shock not expecting it to be loaded and the dropped to the floor and curled into a ball. Suposidly it's all on video. SIAP

If that were the case would there not be charges pending?
Aiming a gun at someone's head and then killing them is not an accident.

I was at an outdoor range in Lockhart this weekend and someone sent a round down range during a cease fire. Luckily the only two people down there were on the complete opposite side arranging their targets.

Quite true.

Someone I had known for years once put a handgun to my head and pulled the trigger. Fortunately, it wasn't loaded. I would hope that the twit who did it would have fried if it had been loaded.

I immediately left and have fortunately not run into that twit again.

If you had beat that idiot into a bloody pulp and I was on your jury for the assault charge, I would vote to acquit.

Hopefully any DA wouldn't let it get that far.

If I remember the time period correctly, I was barely able to lift and aim a lightweight 22 revolver and then only by using both hands. I doubt that I could have drawn blood and one medium punch to my chest might easily have put me back in the hospital.

All I could do was go outside and wait in the pickup for whoever was driving to come out so that we could leave.

I have seen quite a few gun shots, some fatal, where the gun was unloaded, or wasn't supposed to we working. I've become paranoid about double and triple checking safety.

Friend and I were volunteering at an organized fund raiser two week's ago at Shooter's Station in Conroe; working the registration desk. 40+ people hanging out in the main lobby area. Gun goes off about 15' behind me. Everyone quickly realizes it came from the men's room. Several of us start making our way to the restroom door, when it opens up. Turns out a gentleman's piece fell out of his holster and hit the tile floor as he was getting up from the toilet. Fortunately it went straight up through ceiling. Obviously could have been a much worse outcome.

You have the wrong adverb.

Imbecilic ; "contemptibly stupid, silly, or inappropriate"

Accuracy hasn't been your forte on here, so I doubt anyone believes you. What your M.O. has been, would indicate that the story is most likely fabricated to fit your narrative.

It's not a lie.

Hell, I didn't even lie when I went in to pay my registration fee for my car a few months after it expired and they ask if I've driven it. I told them that I drive it nearly ever day. It seems like everyone else but me lies about that.

For what it's worth, I've seen people do nearly as crazy a thing sober as he did drunk.

And if I was going to lie about something, I doubt that I could even come up with that kind of idea.

Unfortunately this partially true and those facts will come out when everything is completed. A customer dropped the gun off to be serviced and left. The employee pointed it out the window at the back of some guys head on the other side of the parking lot and just squeezed and to his stupid surprise the gun went off. He never opened the bolt to check to see if it was unloaded as the first dumb mistake and then more importantly pointed it at someone and pulled the trigger. This was straight from LEO family member that has first hand knowledge of the investigation. He told me what the guy was going to be charged with and for some reason I want to say I remember it was criminal negligence but this was back in December between Christmas and New Years when he told me this.

I still don't understand accidental gun discharges WHILE cleaning. No ammunition should even be in the same room as the weapon when cleaning a gun.
Ive done it. Shot a 30-06 into the sky while cleaning it. And I have handled, cleaned, shot, bought and sold more guns than 99% of the people out there. and I have been thru hundreds of hours of safety classes on both sides of the table. And I did it just four years ago.

That's messed up. I have seen people do that many, many times. Not pull the trigger, but aim it at people or cars with people in them out in the distance.

It is impossible to believe anything you say. You have a personal story relating to damned near every conceivable situation a person could have ever experienced.
If I was making things up, I could do a hell of a lot better.
