Any modern semi auto pistol should do. Just remember don't in the head facing you - that's asking for ricochet. Body shots are best.

I wasn't going to post and get made fun of but I actually did kill a hog with a de .50. That gun was really stupid but ridiculously fun as a result.

It was a favorite for shooting watermelons for a crowd at 10 -15 yards. The shooter and whole crowd would be covered in watermelon chunks.

I sold it after it jammed shut with a live round in the chamber and even the gunsmiths couldn't get it open

That said, of course it's not something to consider for op.
