How do you view game cam pics?

I checked some game cams yesterday that had been out for a few weeks...and had several thousand pics to wade through.

I currently take the SD cards home and pop them in a laptop and open the pic in whatever the windows viewer is and click through them, scribble down the number of the pics I want to save, and then go back into the file explorer and copy and paste the ones I want to save into a specific folder, and then delete the rest.

Is there some software that could make that simpler to do?

How do you handle this task?

In for responses.... my method is almost identical to yours except for five cameras with roughly 2000 pics a piece.

I view them in file explorer with thumbnails set to large or extra large. Just control click the ones I don't want and delete them in large groups.

I have a BoneView SD card reader. I have not been impressed but it gets the job done.

The best part is being able to view and save them on your smartphone.

Since I'm a nerd and super lazy, I run an image analysis script and kick out images with no animals.

Pull cards replace with spare set. View at camp house on laptop w sd reader. My laptop is old and slow so I transfer all image files from card to laptop before viewing.

If we can't find spare cards I will take laptop in the truck and transfer images on site and put card back in cam.

Tempted to get a card reader for android since my tablet and phone are much better performers than the old laptop

I take an old iPad to the camera, pull the SD, download pics, reinsert card then go back to camp, pop open a cold one and review pics.

Surface tablet.

Cut and paste photos, reinsert blank cards.

As previously stated. Crack a cold one and flip through. We have cows so usually tons of photos of no use.

Same except ~35 cameras. I think it's the best way. When you scroll through them fast it's almost like a stop motion movie so anything that moved from one frame to the next jumps out at you.
