You have friends that don't have kids and they have no clue to what it's like...no clue at all. They cannot comprehend the depth that it changes you from the second you first see your first child.

If you have not seen an eclipse in person, you cannot possibly understand. So don't try. If you have and were not moved, I feel for you.

I didn't and never have seen totality.

But the coincidence and mathematics behind a solar eclipse are fascinating IMO. The coincidental fact (or is it?) that the radius of the sun is about 400 times that of the moon and the coincidental fact that the sun is about 400 times further away than the moon fascinate me. Maybe I'm just a simpleton.

I do know this for certain...I won't miss seeing totality in 2024 if I'm still on this rock we call earth.
