My advice would be :

If you're not a news reporter, FEMA worker, Natuonal Guard, or some sort of storm chaser, stay the hell away from Florida.

Looks like more and more models are closing in on the westward shirt ~30 miles. Worst case scenario for Miami and Ft Lauderdale, but a huge win for other states along the Atlantic coast.

Until Tampa gets fooked in the arse.

Have relatives in Indian Rocks Beach. Class A evacuation zone. I'd say they are less than 8' above sea level, since they literally live a block from the beach. And this is after going through Harvey, who my Cinco Ranch dwelling brother dodged house flooding by <6".

Yeah for those that don't know, Tampa is considered actually more of a danger spot than New Orleans if it took a direct hit from the south. The water would come straight up the bay with nowhere to go.
Forty miles or so more west and it could happen.

Since we finally got our first front of the year pushed through STX a couple days ago, I think we'll be in the clear from here on out (fingers crossed). I'm sure someone will remember an exception, but in my 41 yrs, seems like as soon as we starting getting fronts everything gets pushed way east.

Harvey sucked, I'm not ready to go through this again anytime soon.
