The one by Florida? It or a front is supposed to pass near here overnight and clear on out into the ocean. There's rain in the forecast through tomorrow afternoon.

We have a guest room, pot of chili and cold beer and water available in Spring Branch (beltway and 10 on W side) for anyone needing a place to stay. It's a bit farther from the major flooding but wanted to throw it out there.

Aahh, makes sense.

I lived in Houston in the 60s and early 70s. Used to go to Hobby just to watch the jet planes land and take off, oh my!

But had business in Houston occasionally and usually flew into Hobby for convenience sake. Remembered the area was pretty low ground.

Damn. Looking less and less like Harvey is gonna push west and south. More chance of it even circling back and hitting the gulf again, just to get rowdy and come back onto land.

I think we might actually hit the worst case scenario in totality for this storm feared even before it even hit.

*CAT4
*Massive Stall
*Loops instead of straight tracks
*Punches in between CC and Houston. Wreck CC with actual storm power, drown Houston afterwards.
*Hoovering massive chunk of the air and moisture from the Gulf like a hungry hungry hippo.

(Future Possibility)
*Circles back into Gulf and then back into us
*Continues stall

That's exactly what happened.


I'm curious if it started when the joint failed, or if there was an outfall on the slope that undermined and then cut back.

Returned from farm. Got all but 6 cows out of the bottom.

Allen's Creek is roaring, but they could swim.

We saved our hay crop.

But we are tired and don't see an end in sight.

KHOU is offline but WFAA has been filling in for them, I just watched their meteorologist going over the forcast and it looked like the storm would have moved on by Wednesday Morning. He still said we're looking at an additional 15"+ of rain but it didnt look like it would move off the coast and come back in.
