Eager to find out how our place in Flour Bluff is going to handle this. I couldn't board it up this week and many of the windows are old and thin. We are on a canal yet elevation should be sufficient. Boat is in garage.

It's getting there. How do you travel through a 48" projected area safely?

At the end of the day they are cows. They can swim the small creek when the time comes.

I'm not leaving the 27 cows, my 1.5 y/o and wife to fend this off alone if I got trapped.

Do you live on catcay or bimini? Have friends that are sitting in a patio behind Laguna Reef. Your Windows may break but you're okay right now. Mostly have to worry about flooding if it continues north. But as of now, hit should okay . Pending the future...

Helped my buddy pick his cotton for 3 days ahead of this, knowing he was gonna lose what wasn't picked. I've never seen him so defeated, just depressing. Me and a couple buddy's crammed our crop dusters in a hangar at the Wharton airport, and I took my wife and son to the in-laws north of Dallas this morning. Sitting here with a beer looking at clear skies wondering if my house and equipment survives the storm and/or the Colorado River flooding is a surreal feeling.

was just texting with a buddy who just closed on his condo in Port A a few weeks ago. He's pretty sure it won't be there after this weekend, but he's more concerned with the people who actually live in/around the area than he is with his weekend place.

No it's not. These places are likely to be wiped out. Good towns with good people. As a tourist, my favorites are the ones that grew up there.

Not to dog pile but there's been 121k views on this thread. I've followed it since early June. Carpe's posts were hard to decipher but his contributions have kept it going and opened lots of eyes early this week.

No worries. I grew up on catcay.

If I hear anything change for the worse I'll post on here. All my family amd friends are in corpus and the bluff so I have a steady stream of updates right now.

There is a guy periscoping from the car wash across from the elementary school. All the storm chasers pulled up to high ground about an hour ago.

No one knows. It's all an educated guess at this point. Expect rain. Lots of it. 10, 20, 30 no one knows and it's going to depend on exactly where you are.

Just goes to show you how different it can be in "Houston". 17" in Conroe to 31" in sugar land. So 10-20" and 30"+ are both correct in this case.
