Weather Channel talking trash about anybody within 75 miles of the coast that didn't evacuate while cashing sponsorship checks with reporters all over the sea wall during TS force winds and pounding rains

Then interviewing some amateur storm chaser from Kansas that's still on the barrier island 12 hrs after the mandatory evacuation

Pot meet kettle.........for a buck


Surely it's not too hard to imagine that many people look at them and figure if they can handle it so can I

I've heard the same tip, but I thought you tossed the contents of the freezer based on how far the quarter sunk after you lose power, as it indicates how long the power was out (relatively speaking).

Have heard the same from relatives on the embellishing...but I'm sure it's going to get alot worse.

Snapchat folks aren't taking it seriously. Quite a few friends dikin off. Sure they'll all be bunkered down as land fall becomes more real.

Latest radar is showing the eye headed in near Rockport. On that eye path will go a ways east of me. Lord, just keep us a few miles out of that eye wall!

I'm not sure if any other old time Catholics did this but my old school Polish mother, God rest her awesome soul, would burn palms in a frying pan and hold it out the door during a severe storm. She said it would move the storms away. You might try this. If you don't have any palms from Palm Sunday, I guess you are SOL and will likely face mass devastation.

The paths are just getting disorganized again. Not as refined. Some having them more inland. But some still loop.

Every model showed it being a tropical storm or at worst cat 1 48 hours ago. Not sure how much stock I'd put in 3 of 16 models showing it heading to Lubbock

That's the pressure forecast for Aug 31st, which basically means 6 days from now it'll still be parked right over SETX.

So the "pretty bad" means catastrophic flooding for days
