What I said is true. This "biblical" amount of rain is based on a projection that literally every weather person is labeling as "still a lot of uncertainty".

I don't get why what I said is such a big deal. Sensitive folks I guess.

You and TXTransplant on the Houston board will get along great. According to him, it won't flood in Houston because the 15"-20" of projected rain is spread out over several days and the only reason it flooded on Memorial Day is because we got 12" of rain in a 24 hour period.

Interesting tip I just heard for anyone evacuating.

Place a frozen cup or jug of water into your freezer and place a quarter on top of the frozen water. If you get back and the quarter is not sitting on top where you left it then your power went out and food will need to be disposed of.

Never heard that before and thought it was pretty genius.
