Texana Foam is in Sterling City. Todd Kilpatrick owns it. He works all over the place. He is on all of the FB trading posts. I have seen his open and closed cell foam. He does nice work and is not too sloppy with it. 806-346-0055

$7,450 for a 1500 s.f. is the first quote I have received back from a company so far. Is that a fair quote? It seems a little high compared to the $1600 for a 1600 s.f. shop somebody posted about yesterday.

If the quotes keep coming in around the $6500-7500 range, I will most likely buy a few kits and do it myself.

That seems incredibly high.

Everything I have seen about Texana says they are located in Midland. I have seen the work Texana does on Facebook and it looks great. Was just thinking I could find somebody of the same caliber in Angelo, without having to get a crew to come from 120 miles away.

yeah what did the $7500 include?

My $1600 quote includes 3" of open celled foam on 1600sf. installed, shaved flat on surfaces where walls are going, and clean up.

FWiW, I contacted 3 different contractors. The other two were $1650 and $2950. So there does seem to be some variance in companies. But if that $7500 isn't for a lot more/different product, then its incredibly high.

Also, I think it is very imporant to note:

I have 1600 sf of sprayed surface. The shop is 18x35x9 with two overhead doors, a walk door, and a window; which is 640 sf in area. If you are spraying 1500 sf in area, that is much, much more sprayed surface. How tall are your walls, pitch of ceiling, how many openings, etc?

$1/sprayed sq ft. is what this guy quotes.
