Can't go wrong with James Avery gold in whatever finish you like. Take it off when doing manual labor and it should last forever.

It has actual grooves built into the inside of the band to let air circulate. The Qalo when I wore it would keep the area under the band white and wrinkly looking like when you're in the water too long. Started as a Kickstarter I believe by an Alaskan guide. Website has more details

Do you like your Groove? Does it breathe that much better?

I always move my aggie ring down my finger and dry under it when I wash hands.

I like it a lot better and haven't had the wetness that I needed dry off like I did when I wore the Qalo. Lifetime warranty and great customer service. The first ring I ordered was a tad too small so they sent me another free of charge and told me to send the other back at my convenience

Only married once and still married. Desk job with a little field.

First ring was a metal with copper antler turquoise inlays. It came apart after a couple of times working around the house. It was handmade and more rustic looking.

The wife wanted to get me a new one. So she got a tungsten with rose gold outer edges. It's heavy but looks nice. I like it and she likes that it looks more dressy.

My brother is strick with silicon band and he's a desk job guy.

James Avery sterling silver. I don't care if it matches my Aggie ring because I'm a man and it was $75.

I assumed I would be on ring number 2 or 3 by this point, as did my wife, and I've still got it. I might upgrade one day, but there's no reason to change a good thing right now.

I have this band for outside of work wear and I bought a 5 pack of Qalo knockoff rings for $10 on Amazon.

I have a brushed platinum ring. I considered the cheaper titanium, but you can't fix those if you have them cut off. always thinking ahead....

Titanium right now but it's loose. After we get the CNC up and running, I plan on taking a bad bull barrel and making some rings out of it. Really want to blue it but not sure that would be good in the long run so looking into some other options. Maybe nibor or something?

I have a Qalo for every day wear, even at the office. My wife got a custom message on it that ensures I won't lose it for fear of embarrassment. My "real" wedding band is from http://www.wedgewoodrings.com/damascus-steel-wooden-rings/
Issue with the damascus rusting?

Getting married at the end of February, and I went with the smooth yellow gold ring. Wanted to keep it simple to match my natural Aggie ring. We'll see how it goes!

Just go ahead and get "Property of Mrs. Reddog90" tatted across your forehead... Everyone had known that was the case for years now anyways

I have a brushed gold band that's polished on the edges. Well, it used to be polished. It's all kind of one dull gold color now. I went with 10k and we did spend a bit more on this one than some we were looking at as the ones that were cheaper felt cheaper because they were thin. This is pretty thick and hasn't bent in the 5+ years I've been wearing it.

I have also thought about getting a titanium or cobalt one to wear when I'm outdoors or doing something where I'd normally take my rings off.

Looks something like this:

Mine looked like that 28 years ago. 14k. Now its just a smooth gold band. Wear it every day.

We just picked up our rings for the upcoming nuptials. I went with 10K gold hammered and satin finish.

I'm sure mine will look like that eventually due to time. I've had my Aggie ring for 14 years and wear it everyday, and the a**holes on the bottom still look like they did when I got it. I've always been cognizant of things I'm doing and tend to take precautions with my things. Doesn't matter what it is. I baby my $50 Timex as much as I do my Rolex.

Does he have a website? Not interested in the dimpled ring, just want to see what all he does.

Out of curiosity, what did that run you? I dig the style cues from the Aggie ring.

Buy the tungsten ring and never worry about it again. I beat the heck out of my Aggie ring in my shop using tools to build and repair my trucks cars etc and it looks like it's 40+ year life (class of '73) is 80 years but my satin finished wedding band still looks new under the same abuse. Besides, only wusses wear pretty gold rings, don't they? Btw, I tease my son ('01 FTA Band B Co)about this all the time. He wants my beat to hell ring and I want his unblemished one ....

This one (or one very similar): 8MM Tungsten Metal Men's Wedding Band Ring in Comfort Fit and Matte Finish

Less than $20 and damn near indestructible.

My brother wears the Qalo silicone rings almost full time. He breaks out the fancy gold one his wife insisted he get for church or weddings.

Can verify. I use this band (8mm tungsten). It stands up to all the abuse I put it through.

Is tungsten the one they have to cut off with a torch if your hand swells up?
htxag09

I honestly can't recall, it's definitely a bit more than your standard 10k wedding band but a lot more labor goes into it. If I recall correctly, it can't be made with a mold because of tm issues so he hand tools it.

But chuck is more than fair with pricing. Long story short, we had my wife's engagement ring redone with chuck and he made a platinum band for less than the original white gold ring, let alone what everyone else upcharges for platinum.

I've read they crack tungsten with vice grips and saw titanium with a jeweler's saw to remove in emergency.

I went to Chuck for my wife's rings and my ring. I wanted something white gold or silver, but went tungsten and spent more on her rings. Don't regret it at all. Love my ring.

Brushed tungsten rose gold for both of us...looks nice, sturdy, cheap and still somewhat classic.

I like the idea of the silicone rings, but can't convince myself of the times I would wear it (if I don't wear it daily). Do you guys wear a silicone ring on one hand and your Aggie ring on the other?

I have used Chuck for her ring, my ring, and am accepting a surprise delivery today. He's an Ag, honest, straightforward, and makes great pieces. What more can you ask for? I have the one in the picture as well, matches my Aggie ring.

I'm probably going to get a tattoo.

I finally realized after 23 years of marriage my fingers weren't built for rings.

The web between my pinkie and ring finger is about 1/2" lower than the others. Which causes a ring to dig into the next web over.

Tried all kinds of rings. When I wear them, it's put them on in the morning, drive to work and take off. Put back on for the drive home, take off when home. I quit wearing them.

Now just trying to come up with the right tattoo. Maybe something like ...

I used Chuck to get this made, Custom cut pattern on a 8mm 10k white gold band.

Been wearing it full time for 5 years and still looks good. It has scratches and the satin is more polished now, but that just makes it look like I wear it everyday. I don't ever take it off.

One other thing you should do, particularly if you get the tungsten ring (any ring really) is make sure you get one that has the "comfort fit" inside it. "Comfort fit" is a trade name (probably) but it is really just a way they make the inside of the ring smooth and gently radiused at the inside edges so they won't chafe or cut in to your finger like rings that have a simple straight inside bore.

I don't wear my silicone ring with my Aggie ring. I either get in the mode of wearing just the silicone ring or both my Aggie ring and my silver band.

No rhyme or reason as to why I'm in one mode or the other. For years I have been used to going to the gym almost every day and putting my rings in my pistol safe and leaving all my valuables in the car. I've always kind of hated doing that because gym parking lots are so notorious for break-ins and I'm not sure I trust the safe.
