Word is this buck was taken in Morrow county Ohio this past gun weekend. There are a couple photos I've seen on Facebook. This one was posted on the Outdoor Life Facebook page. Will be interesting to see if it was true wild and not high fenced.

Might be legit. Expected to see a fat white lawyer in really expensive clean boots. This guy looks like he might actually be a hunter.
Probably because the temps were in the single digits.
From what I've heard, there aren't any high fenced deer farms in that county. Don't quote me on that as fact though.

What does "shot on a drive" mean? Like he was just in his truck and shot out of the window?

Driving deer is a big thing in several of the Midwest states. I had never heard of it until I went hunting with my father in law in Iowa. Think about driving pheasant through a standing row of corn or a draw with shooters at the end. It's basically the same thing except with deer.
Driving deer is very common in Ohio. I've been in my treestand and had about 6-8 people come through driving the entire section of woods. There was another 3 or 4 guys out at the other side of the woods waiting for anything to come running out. It was private property, but we all had permission to hunt it by the property owner. I left immediately after.
Shotguns with buckshot are the weapon of choice on driven deer.

Drives are also common where dogs are common. Guys with no dogs do drives. I've done a lot of both in Mississippi and the usual load was a slug in the chamber, followed by 3 rounds of buckshot, and another slug to back it up.
You can always waste the first slug on a sprinting deer and then use buckshot. But if your only, or last ditch, shot is at range then slug is what you want.

Buckshot is not legal in Ohio. Shotguns with slugs, muzzle loaders, handguns .357 or larger in caliber with a 5" long barrel minimum, and certain straight walled pistol cartridges in rifles.
