Get the most lumens with the tightest throw ...otherwise you will end up with 2 or 3 weapon mounted lights (like I did). The TLR's are great, the problem is even with magnified optics (4X), the range Is about 100 yards max under good conditions. If for pig hunting this is pretty limiting because when you see them at 100 yds or less, you get one shot and in no time you can't follow them. Add in thin tall grass or weeds and you will see how I need up with several lights.
Actually have one weapon mounted light that is 2000 lumens with very tight beam. Very heavy , long and bulky but it works. If uncle gunny' s light is 1200 lumens for $50 and has a tight throw, buy that. The TLR's are good for short distances, under good conditions. Try to get 1000 lumens, tight throw and hopefully rechargeable batteries .
One other tip.... There are lumens and there are OTF (out the front) lumens. OTF lumens should be compared when possible as some mfgs. Use lumens in their specs rather than OTF lumens. The LED might have 1000 lumens but if designed poorly you might only get 700 lumens out the front. Good luck!
