Dad and I were hunting together this past weekend and he shot a nice bobcat yesterday morning. He's looking at a full body mount and as most everybody knows, bobcats are one of the toughest animals to make look right. I'm really considering shipping to one of these guys.

Is there anybody that can touch this quality of work in Texas?

If you want the best, Jonas Brothers in Denver Colorado. Check out their work on their site. Museum quality.

Just posted this on another thread. Check out David Majors in Cypress. He had a couple of bobcat mounts in his showroom that were beautiful. One was a bobcat trying to swat down a flushed bobwhite. Very cool mount. I plan on having a similar mount made if I ever kill a bobcat.

K&W Taxidermy outside of Fredericksburg did a fantastic job with mine.

x2 for Allen Palermo. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Go by his shop and check out his work.

Man, you know my opinion on ****y bobcat mounts. It's all funny until your great trophy becomes a google image search internet message board joke - AND - you're out a few hundo just for the privilege.

A great Bobcat mount is awesome! Buy once and cry once.

Went by Major Creations this morning and their cats were just alright. Spoke with a guy at Palermo and he texted me a couple pics of the ones they currently have in their shop. They look really good and I will be dropping the cat off with them on Wednesday. Thanks for the recommendations!

Bill did a great job on mine several years ago. I shot it with a 7mag, 150gr ballistic tip, at about 40 yards. Blew it to pieces an understatement! You can't tell where he stitched it back together unless you touch it, then you can feel the stitches. I don't have any pics on my phone. I'll try to text you one tonight or you can swing by the house and look at it first hand.

I have looked online several times trying to find the website for all of those horrible taxidermy jobs. Anybody got any ideas on where to find that?

Google was my friend, upon further review.

Sorry in advance because I'm sure this is a really dumb question but after shooting the bobcat what do you with it between then and when you drop it with a texadermist? Do you gut it? Freeze it? I'm clueless.

Straight to the deep freeze. No gutting needed. Mine should be done in the next month.
Here is the bobcat. Pretty cool story behind it:

Realistic Taxidermy in Castroville/Hondo did a great job a friend of mine's so I took mine there and it was equally as good.

Been waiting exactly 3 years for my mount to get back! Running joke in the family. Not going back to the guy for anything.
