Yep. It was me. I had to run it over to jeep dealership in G'town to have a broken bushing replaced on transfer case. Got a lot of looks on IH-35. Rig is still street legal.

Have lots of friends with you....

Actually, you can unbolt it from high seat and get it down. Getting the spare back on the high rack is the hard part.

Carrying spare firearms. I must be an idiot though, I have always had mine 180 degrees rotated from that position, with the open part towards the cab

SPI-- I have not used mine yet, so I very well could have it on backwards!! Luke @ Twilight swears by them as being the most useful thing you can have. good spot for Binoculars & guns, etc.

It is a gun mattress. Basically it is a cordura wrapped air mattress with sleeves to protect your firearms. It has a hood that unsnaps and will fully cover the firearm if weather turns bad.

I can see someone being catapulted on a quick turn left or right being that far out in front.
