Stamp for my EVO SBR cleared today, so I need to find someone that can do my engraving on polymer.

Anyone have any suggestions for the greater Houston area?

I recently has a lower engraved by this guy. It was a metal AR lower, but I don't see why he wouldn't be able to do plastic too. He does the work out of his garage at his house, but good work. $50 and he did it in about 20 minutes while I waited.

Just received an email back from them:

Sorry, We are no longer engraving firearms we were unable to get our FFL.
Please keep us in mind for future projects though.
Thank you,

Hmm, I am not sure then. They did two firearm engravings for me. The second was right before they stopped accepting them as they obtained their FFL. Hopefully someone else can help. If nothing else, get in touch with TheEyeGuy.

Avenger Arms in Stafford. Laser engraving, one day turn around. $30. They do nice, clean work. They did an SBR lower and my Form 1 can for me, and a lower for a buddy.

Keith Norman in Conroe has done both my SBR lowers. Does the work out of his garage and is a really neat guy to chat with. Does clean work too. No idea if he does polymer or not, but he's worth a try. He'll work with you on scheduling a time that works, and he'll do it while you wait. See below for contact info.

Correct. In order to file a Form 1, you need a lower receiver with a serial number, model name/number, caliber, and manufacturer engraved on it. Whether that receiver is a stripped 100% receiver you bought by itself, a stripped 80% receiver on which you finished the machining yourself (there are a few other nuances with this option that you have to pay attention to), or a completed lower that you pulled off of a pre-existing AR is up to you. You will also need to have your trust name and location engraved on it as well. The websites below are solid references.

If you don't find anyone in Houston, you can ship it to me in Bryan. I use a rotary machine so I'm more limited on size and location than laser. I charge $25 for standard NFA engraving (name & location).
