Limits on Croaker?

I'm in Port Aransas and my husband caught a croaker. Are there any limits to length or number allowed? Can't find any on TPWD website but don't want to get in trouble.

Are they any good to eat?

That's not a croaker but instead a whiting. Never eaten one but heard they are pretty good. No size limit and can keep as many as you want.

Also they make excellent bait for bull redfish and sharks if you have a bigger rig and a spider weight and want to try for something larger. Could even use the head and still eat them.....

They make excellent fried fish sandwiches. Perfect length.

Or grill them in a foil pack with tomato, onion, garlic, and cilantro and make grilled fish tacos. They're usually a little too small for half shell grilling like you'd do with a red.

Yes, it's a whiting and they are great on the table. No limit.

Croaker are also very good if they're big enough.

I caught this too. It was swimming by and I took my flip flops off and used them to grab it. It was about 8" long. (Again, not my hand)

Day 2 at the beach and much to my surprise, my RTIC cup is sweating. John's YETI is not. Both have been sitting next to each other on the table and both are filled with cold beverages.

I guess I'm going to have to buy a YETI.
