I was merely trying to check the amount of propane left in my tank this morning when I woke you up. I did not know you had taken up residence in said location, so I apologize for the intrusion on your home. Rushing my face and stinging me is crossing the line though, and a sign of aggression that I cannot ignore. Rest assured, I will find you, and I will kill you.

Bastages got me a couple weeks ago, not only do they hurt, but they cause me to run around waving my arms making very ***** like noises...I hate them.

Yep, really soapy water will knockem dead. Learned it from an old guy I grew up next door to. His explanation was that the soap bubble gets over their mouth and they can't breathe. Don't know if that is true but I made a mini-business out of killing and removing wasps nests when I was a kid by using this exact technique. It also is better than trying to coat a nest in the chemical killer shown above. No poison to clean up later either.

You can also use a squirt bottle if you want more precise application. Dawn and water is the best!

Anybody close by with a drone to hover in his backyard to watch? Pretty sure he'll be too busy with the wasps to shoot at it.

Wait until night and they don't fly. Or don't fly as much anyway. I had about 4 huge nest in my tractor and every time I would go to spray them they would chase me. A friend told me to go after dark and they would not fly. For me it worked and that is about the only way I do it now.

I have paper wasps living under the cover between the propane bottles on my trailer. They act all huffy when I open it, waving their legs around, but so far they let me adjust the knobs without trying to sting me. That changes, they have to die.

I got popped by a European Hornet while mowing Friday afternoon.

Ankle swollen up, probably the worst sting IMO.

*******s can all die.

I've bee hit by many paper wasps and a few red hornets. Painful, but tolerable. My wife, on the other hand has a bit of an allergic reaction to wasp stings, so I kill them where she will be.

I got popped that exact same way several years back. Had pulled the old tank out no problem, got it filled, put it back in place and reached in to set the retaining latch, and in a split second, I'd been stung seven times on my hand.

Later that night, they all died!

Ever since then, I check under the grill before reaching under there.

I have not gone to war yet. I was in a hurry this morning on my way out of the house. It was a fairly hilarious site in the aftermath though. I looked at the gauge and then boom, they attacked from the side. I took off yeling "**** **** ****", I threw a pump sprayer that was in my left hand (**** poison ivy too, btw), my sunglasses were thrown a different direction, and my shirt ended up in the driveway as one of those azzholes got under my shirt.

The nighttime advice works. You can also use smoke to cause the bees to not want to fly.

Since they breath through their entire body (for all practical purposes) the mouth makes no difference. The soapy water does smother them, however.

I would not suggest killing with fire in this instance.

I fought them Battle of New Orleans style this weekend at a cabin. Me and my in law probably hit 15 yellow jacket nests. Killed them all without a single sting. It was glorious.

I chose to spray them with hairspray. It stiffens their wings and they just fall to the ground without dying. Now they are at your mercy. Kill one or two of them and the others will start talking. Keep in mind the hairspray does not permanently stiffen their wings, so be prepared to work fast.
