Looks like a blast, even if gator hunting is a hell of a lot of mud, sweat and work.

Just one question: did you ever channel your inner Troy and refer to the alligator as a tree shaker or yell, "Choot him! Choot him!" at any point during your hunt?
I think the closest I got to this was when Hammer tied his line to a tree, and thought to myself "Maybe he will get a tree shaker". Might have even said it out loud, I don't remember.

Tamc91, how much larger would they have been back in the late 90s?

It seems like 9 footers were typically well over 200 lbs. Of course it has been a lot of years, but those two just look thin relative to their length. Yours look healthy for their size.

The 9'3" gator was 164lbs and the 9'5" gator was 200lbs. I was impressed with the weight difference between the two. So the 9'5" (on the left) was normal and the 9'3" (right) was small for its length? Both big gators of course relative to what we knew but if 200lbs is more normal then the one on the right was in fact very small relative to its length.
