Met this gentleman tonight at the RCC. Checked everything out and seems legit. Thinking about picking these up for the store. Thoughts?

Interesting idea. But at $70 I don't see myself buying one. Am I missing something, or is this simply a bucket with a padded seat and a drain? Seems pretty easy to DIY for much cheaper.

Couple things about this... and yes, you can easily do it yourself and I'll even tell you how:

Take a bucket and rig in a hose to the outside bottom. PVC pipe needs to go up about 12 inches and holes need to be drilled into it on one side only to make the entire thing spin. The key to this is the water spins and makes a whirlpool and it pulls all of the blood/feathers off. Keep the water running into the bucket until the water goes clear... no visible redness to the water. All of the feathers and stuff float to the top. These would sell in shop for about $60.

Yea, of all the aspects of the cleaning wild game process the rinsing away is probably the least burdensome. You could likely put a hose in a bucket or simply throw the game in the sink and run the water and achieve almost the exact same results.

This might appeal to the "Texas dove hunter" that goes once or twice a year, that thinks cleaning them is gross and that has to have every imaginable toy to show they are the real deal but I can't honestly see an avid sportsman ever using something like that routinely.

Tell him to forget about this and build a "yeti" dove bucket, super strong with some cool powder finish, a plush seat, a place to keep a couple beers cold in 100 degree heat and of course bear proof...this board would be all over that.

I was intrigued though my warning light went on when the fiancee said she thought it was cool. When that girl is interested in something in the shooting world, there is generally an "overcuteness" to it in some way.

I think it is pretty cool but the price point is way too high. It is a five gallon bucket, some pvc and a couple of fittings. If it was around $20 I might buy one.

This is my thoughts. Looks like a good idea, but I'm not paying anything more than $25 or $30 for it. Otherwise, I'll make one myself that just won't look as pretty or have a seat cushion that I'll likely never use anyway.

I've got a 5gal. bucket with the swivel seat and removable styrofoam liner for dove hunting. Just plumb in the pvc valve and tube and I'm in business.

I wouldn't buy one.

Powdercoat it maroon with the block ATM and suddenly a market will exist...

Slap a Yeti sticker on it and charge $170.

I've never found rinsing off feathers to be cumbersome enough to pay $70 for a bucket with a hose attachment. I usually just rinse them off in the gallon size zip lock bag that I will be freezing them in.

When I started reading this thread I assumed it would remove the feathers somehow, maybe it was the price point. When I watched the video and it just swirls already cleaned birds in water I realized why everyone was complaining about it. I'm sure it cleans them really well, but I have a garden hose with a sprayer nozzle that's worked pretty well so far.

I think when you have an invention it needs to solve a problem or make your life significantly easier and be something the average person couldn't make. Not sure if this does any of these. For example many of us fish; a reel makes this a lot easier to cast, haul the fish in, and manage the line. I can't make one, I don't have the tools or know how to accomplish this. So I have to buy one if that's the type of fishing I want to do.

We do the same thing with a water hose. This just makes it easier and a bit more hands free. I won't say they are too expensive, cause the bucket with swivel seat is probably 20 bucks or more. And probably 10 bucks in pvc parts, then labor to install, then company expenses. While I am not really interested in it at $60, they have to make money. I think I will build one though at home, because the hands free part would be convenient for dove and ducks. just dump em in there and turn it on and come back in a few minutes.

I built a couple as well for about the same price.

pretty good concept...but it isn't very hard to wash birds by hand as others have mentioned. Seems that price is now 39.99 which is about right. I wouldn't buy it, but it seems like he is selling a lot of them.

Made one myself for less than $20 last year, and it works well.

Yeah, I'm gonna buy this LMAO.... been doing it for 40 years with large basin and a water hose with a high pressure nozzle attached...stays in the tool chest on my truck and travels when I hunt.cut the hose to about 15 feet for convenience

To operate place game in basin, spray with the high pressure water..removes shot, blood etc for a helluva lot less...
