I went to a Korean market, Ko'mart, and bought the beef short ribs and some Kalbi sauce. Marinated the meat with the sauce in a freezer bag for about 5 hours and then grilled it. Looked like this when done:

They were delicious, but the meat was expensive - about $10/pound. This was my first time trying this and we liked it enough to do it again, but I have some questions... Any tips or better recipes? Anybody find this cut cheaper somewhere else?

The meat you and everyone use is called LA galbi...same meat but a different cut. Traditional cut is what you see in the link...a longer boned cut of short rib...and you can skillfully cut open the citcular meat into a flat piece...llong as a dollar bill but half the width. It's better that way ...and use your hands to eat. Throw the bone to your dogs. It's good for them.

Always cook with open flame...traditionally used lump charcoal to cook.

We can talk sauce...if u want.

OMG! OMG! OMG! Never feed table scraps, and especially hard beef bones to dogs! Just the other day my sister's next door neighbor's cousin heard of a dog choking on one!

No that's chicken bones. But I think the gluten free range ones are okay because they're GMO free and have 25% less BPA.

Well..if a dog chokes on a 4 inch long beef short rib bone.. it deserves to die. Let natural selection do it's thing.

When restaurants boast their gluten free menu I demand my gluten left alone in my food. I want gluten...dammit.
