We had a kid (new technician for work)Move to the Texas panhandle from Florida about 6 weeks ago. All it's done since he got here is rain. He's living between Hereford and Canyon and got a heck of an awakening. The little county road he lives on flooded and washed out and he had hail drifted up also.

He asked me last night why I always complained about lack of rain (jokingly).

I told him if we can get crops in the ground and it continues to rain he will see the moods of farmers change dramatically!

1.2" in 45 minutes last night in south Brazos County.

Windy at our place but not the 85mph gust they registered at Kyle Field.

The answer is no...not this week.

1 month from Dove season - rain guaranteed within 1 week of the opener.

Everybody but most of Texas... The dry parts of Texas have been getting plenty of rain. The panhandle looks more like Houston than El Paso for once.
