Our dryland cotton was junk, but irrigated was phenomenal

Seems like feast or famine most of the time. Until the last two weeks we had 5" for the last 12 months at our ranch in Kimble Co. Sold all the calves and a third of the mother cows (never quit having to feed hay since the winter). Have received close to 5" the last two weeks which I'm very thankful for. Hate to see trees dying and have been finding a number of dead deer (starvation). Going to be a very poor horn year as well due to the tough conditions.

Ended up getting nearly 3" in northern Bastrop county. We got lucky. Just north in Blue/Lexington they barely got an inch.

Not as bad, but Callahan county is still in extreme drought and I swear there's a bubble around Moran/Cisco. Granted we did get about 3" spread out the past two months. Very thankful for that at least.TikkaShooter said:

Got over 2" here in Burnet out b Oatmeal.
Been raining at the lease near Brady since 4am. No rain gauge here but I'd bet it's pushing two inches at this point. It looked like a desert out here yesterday.

How's everyone west of I-35 hanging in there? Callahan county has moved out of severe and into a moderate drought. We had some decent rain in February, a couple of showers in March but no flash floods. Hoping to get a turd floater soon to fill the tanks back up to 100%. Last summer has given me anxiety.
purposely didnt pick up dog poop for said turd floater thats supposed to be coming. will also be washing my car and leaving the windows down.......fingers crossed
