2.5" more since midnight. 8.5 total so far. Highway 59 closed due to high water and schools closing due to flooding.
Looks like it pushed through faster than forecast up this way. Brazos River forecast dropped 10' overnight, but still very cautious.

Pouring for an hour and a half now in Calallen. One storm backed in from the NE and met another coming from the SW. Already had nearly 5 inches before this deluge.
EDIT: 3.8 Sunday + 1.2 Tuesday morning early + 4.3 (just over an hour this morning and still pouring) = a bunch of rain.

6" rain gauge ran over Monday and again this morning, neighbor measured 9 inches in a bucket on Monday. Road between Blessing and La Ward closed Monday due to high water.

During the storm last night I noticed some water running down the plumbing stacks in my attic. What's the play here? Get a plumber to re-seal all of the vents?

Running down the inside?
Ignore it.
Down the outside? Call a roofer.
On the outside of the pipes.
Likely need a roofer.
Either you have lead vents that aren't installed right, or squirrels or rats have chewed the lead off the top, or you have the cheaper rubber/ metal flashing and the rubber has dry rot/ split. Roofers install these. Sometimes a good plumber will, but mostly they will send you to a roofer.

Just had 3 inches in 45 minutes in Coryell County. 50 mph wind with it. Another red glob is coming from the west. POND WATER AT LAST!

We barely barely made it into the fields to try to do some work Friday afternoon. Got an inch Friday night/Saturday morning unexpectedly. Got another 1/2 Sunday. Forecast wrong for today as I woke up to it pouring. Probably had 1-1.5 so far this morning. Forecasted 4-6" this week. Cotton is dying, even the corn is dying from so much water. 26" for the last 4 weeks in Victoria
Still need some near Tarpley. It is amazing how all the big rain moves around us.
Buddy sent me a pic of their tank on family land near Elkhart. Not sure how much rain they got as we are out of state but damn
It may be full by now because Grapeland got something like 12" the last 24 hours.
Sam Rayburn is currently 3/4" from the lake record water level set in 1992 with as much as 5 more inches forecast for the watershed this week.
They're still 11 inches from topping the spillway but I don't understand what the CoE is doing. It's not like they're trying not to flood Beaumont. Steinhagen is discharging 30k CFS while Rayburn is only at 10k cfs.

Breaks my heart for you. You are correct, when corn is drowning out, that's waaaaayyyyyy too much water.
I remember about 1986 or so, when South Texas got so much rain, they were using bulldozers and oil field floats to get module trucks out to the modules.
You can work your butt off all year on the farm, and the weather can either make you seem a genius or a fool.

They were doing that in Danevang that year or close. Dad has it on video somewhere. Impressive they did not tear thise modules apart.
I know we've had more overall rain but it just seems like it's been raining every damn day for two months in North Texas.
