Randomly we got about 3/16 of an inch yesterday afternoon from a random blowup thunderstorm. Not nearly enough but it was something at least.

Yeah the models for those look "interesting". After all the other **** we've had to deal with this year, I pray that Mexico, LA, Miss or Bama get to deal with those instead of us.

Yeah last couple of days have been weird yesterday I watched my neighbors pasture get dumped on literally 500 ft from my front porch and we didn't get a drop from that little bit
east frio county had 4" the other night.
also got a call from my neighbor over at choke canyon and he said we had 1-1/4"..........more stoked about this as the cracks in the ground were getting about as wide as the 4 wheeler tire.

Oh I know... Anytime the conditions seem dry and perfect for dove/teal, we get a TS/Hurricane. Whatever... I'll shoot mosquitoes if nothing else is flying.
It will all depend on the high pressure systems...
This depression is very similar to the path Harvey took
It's almost exactly the same thus far. And when Harvey was just north of Honduras, where this one is now, we were being told it was unlikely to ever reach hurricane status, just like we are being told now.

I'm going to say the same thing I said about Harvey, if that makes it over the Yucatn and is still intact that will be a cat 3-4 when it hits the coast with as hot as the water is in the bath tub that is the gulf

Harvey had two high pressure systems that prevented it from moving east or west. The center of the high in the east would need to move over Mississippi or further west to lock this system in place.
Looks like the track has moved westward on the forecast twice already today
