What does this mean for folks down closer to the coast (Lake Jackson, Brazoria)? I wasn't able to find a forecast for the levels down there similar to the one you posted for Richmond.

The Brazos will jump banks, likely Sunday sometime.

The river is nearing last year levels in terms of actual water, but the gauge is still only reading 44'. We still have 9' to go. Will be the highest levels ever recorded on our place.

Later today we will be flying a drone over FM1458. Hopefully will have a good video for y'all.

Rosenberg announced mandatory evacuations.

We have as much water flowing in the pastures as last Memorial Day, but we still have a projected 7 feet to go at FM 1458.

One ranch moved 1000 head yesterday, and another must've moved a similar number today in the Simonton area.

We have about a 1.5 acre island in the middle of the Brazos north of the Simonton bridge based on the drone video. We will get a better shot tomorrow and record it.

Will try to get y'all some photos on the ground, but very hectic today.

This is mainly to prevent lookiloos at this point in time.

Didn't those just open a few weeks ago after the tax day storms?

Nah, they've been open for quite a while. I don't even now if they closed then. They only keep them closed to remove debris and sediment after the water goes down

Ok, I think they were closed when I came in on the 25th. Can't remember if they were closed mother's day weekend....

What's the main freeway elevation there?

They are prepping to close the Simonton bridge. They were hauling a trailer house out of Valley Lodge on an 18 wheeler through several feet of water.

I appreciate the offer, we are sitting solid now. Our cows were pulled out back in April for that flood.

Closing the brazos river bridge at 1093? No way. If thats true we have serious issues.

Valley forge will probably be cut off completely if the water gets to 53.5' (richmond), so yes, closing 1093 is probably a safe bet.

the roadway on 59 over the Brazos in Sugar Land is probably 60+ feet.

When my folks left the farm water was over FM1093. It is now closed based on DriveTexas.

It is only going to get worse. I will be surprised if Valley Lodge is still around. One only has to see the ferocity of the current on our place now over on FM1458. We are thinking we will lose half an acre minimum from bank collapse.

Heavy rain and lightening show in Bandera. Had a great day today on the medina River today, but this will def have things flooded for a bit...

The river flood gauge site has been spot on in the past.

The problem is there is still a lot of water that hasn't entered the Brazos yet, but still in the water shed.

I dont think so unless there is some more rain. 259.81 at 8 am this morning, and the rise rate has really slowed down.

Widespread 6"+ in Bandera and Medina counties last night. Medina Lake will be over the spillway for the first time since 2007 in a few hours. It was completely empty 14 months ago.

FM1093 complete disaster around Simonton. Stores and houses under water.

Some cows still out there, cousin will be working them with a johnboat. Water so swift on FM1458 almost washed a 150hp tractor with duals off the road hauling hay.

Valley lodge is completely under. Everyone down my way stayed and so far is ok but it is 'exciting' to say the least. The water is so deep and fast in places it is pulling up roads and impassable. At one point 290, i10, 1489, 1458 and 1093 all under deep fast water and closed.

Got email this morning that the Guadalupe in Comfort was at 80,000 cfs. Canyon Lake is going to get a lot of water.
