We got our wheat hailed out overnight near Spearman. Hailed for solid 15 minutes w 60-70 mph wind. Lots damage to Windows trees and roofs in town.

Do you know what makes me sicker than the amount of rain we're getting? A drought where we get no rain, the lakes dry up, and the old people in the neighborhood who have nothing better to do start turning in their neighbors for watering on an odd day.

If you're tired of rain, head to Arizona or Vegas...there should be plenty of sunny weather there for you.

Hey, my property is great in the drought. No problem. Drought doesnt kill my cattle, my grass still grows, doesnt destroy my fences, doesnt flood my house or barn or make me move out...doesnt wash my neighbors house into the river, etc.,

I bought this place prepared for drought. My property is great in normal years or in droughts. But it flat sucks this last 12 months. So i can ***** and moan about it if i want.

Ps, just spent a week in new mexico. It rained on me.

YES! I had my fingers crossed last night, and it doesn't look like it got much of any water into the Frio, Sabinal, or Hondo! Certainly not enough to get it out of the hills and through the flat lands. There are some mighty thirsty infiltration zones between there and here!

PS Can Beeville have your City Manager since he quit yesterday?

From what I heard yesterday, I'm about 50/50 on my source, he started out with the ability to control his agenda but slowly council started butting their way back in and micro-managing. We've been thru several up here, finally got a really good guy that everyone likes, and his wife got sick and he's retiring.

I'm guessing he had a no-win situation, wanted out, and used this water boil notice to fall on his sword. Honestly how much control does the City Manager have over the day to day operations (or failures) of the water department?

3" this morning in New Braunfels. Tried to go across town and the underpass at the train tracks on Sequin St was shut down due to all the mud. Couple of stuck vehicles down there.
