It's about 95% full.... That's one big ass lake.

It is higher than average and looks like they are not letting it get more than 94%, which is pretty smart.
LCRA is working on the gates on the dam right now, so they cannot open all the gates if a heavy rain hits and they need to release water. So they are leaving some room in the lake to hold flood water until the construction is done.

Severe Storm Watch issued for the big country... Looks like this areas going to get a substantial amount of rain in the next week or so.
There are still some neighborhoods without power in the Waco area after last night's storms. The airport recorded winds gusts of 75 mph.

I haven't looked at the forecast to see if that's one event or a cumulation of a few over 7 days. Facebook reminded me that two years ago today we got 6" in a day.

Fingers crossed this gets the Frio flowingputs some water in Choke Canyon. Not really holding out hope. Those shallow sands and gravels South of 90 still seem mighty thirsty.

I picked a great week to go on vacation to port A and San Antonio...
3-1/4" today in the Corpus Christi Southside and it just started back up again.
12.5" in Portland TX in the last 24 hours.
6in in Goodrich this weekend.

That brought the 24 hour total to 8-1/2" (or more) in Corpus.
Fun fact: the Westbury part of Houston has recieved over 80" in the past calendar year! Average rainfall for Houston is around 50"!
