Im not sure. We are packing up and getting set to move to Belton next weekend. I was hoping to get one more round in at Grapevine before I left. Not going to happen.

We are going to take a break today and drive over there to look at it.

Speaking of Belton, Lake Belton is up another foot and a half today.

Yep. When we were first looking for houses it was somewhere around 12 feet down. Now its 6 feet over.

We bought a house right on the lake in a quiet neighborhood just outside the city limits. We dont have private lake access but it is not far. I cant wait.

A random news bite I heard on the radio this morning is that Texas has received approx. 8 million acre feet of water so far. And that about 70 of our reservoirs are over 100%.

One of the worst things about all of this is that Baylor will actually have a river view from their stadium this year.
There's a low water dam 1/4 mile south of the stadium. There is usually a constant level on the Brazos through most of Waco. It's well over now.
Is their stadium low enough to put a little standing river water in that toilet bowl?

NBC Nightly News reported last night enough has fallen to cover the entire state in 8 inches of water.

Much like our oil.

Nice. Welcome to the area (or welcome back if you've been here before, don't know your history).

I remember 2011 when Somerville and Conroe were both 12 feet low. Conroe recovered a while back. Dang, Somerville must be flooding all the neew improved campsites around the lake. I bet you can launch a boat from some streets.

I haven't been up close to the stadium, so I'll go with a maybe.

Waco and the area to the north would need to get hit with some flooding type rains for that to happen. We've had a good amount of rain in the Waco area, but missed out on the really heavy stuff that has hit the Dallas and Austin areas.

Left Martindale this afternoon after delivering relief supplies and several hours of work just as the bottom feel out of the clouds and another flash flood warning was issued. That water she'd was getting hammered again.

The line fell apart South of Waco, but is reforming just Southeast of BCS. We got lucky compared to DFW and maybe what is heading toward Houston. We may actually go a week without rain for the first time in nearly 2 months. I hope my guy can put up a bunch of hay.

Houston taking a pounding right now. Lot of light and sound action. Not sure about how much rain is dumped though.

Wimberley and San Marcos just hit with more torrential rain which is triggering flash flooding.

Large lightning bolts and heavy rain in San Marcos while working at the food bank.

Funnel cloud over my neighborhood in Kyle.

Fall guy, meet a fella in Martindale from Kyle delivering water to a distribution center. One of your crew?

I may have jinxed it, looks like it's trying to backbuild toward us. Piling up at the Gulf, Houston could get some prolonged rain rather than pushing through quickly.

Not that I know of. The food bank was in Wimberley today. They said they had 8 18 wheelers full of water they were distributing around Hays County.

today was a Madhouse of donations. Have never seen anything like it here in Hays County. It is a small place also. It just kept coming and all we could do was unload, and sort out the food. The minute we made a dent another large truckload.

The generosity the community and surrounding communities have given is amazing and humbling.

My 10 year old worked nonstop with me for 7 hours. He could bot believe the amount of food and cleaning supplies their was.

Pouring in the upper RGV. Looks like a big rain cell is parked over Falcon dam. Yesterday the Los Ebanos ferry was closed on the river due to Mexico releasing a lot of water out of the rivers that flow into the Rio Grande. Wet everywhere.

More rain in Richmond/Rosenberg/Sugar Land, Brazos river crest height hasn't changed but with the increase in rate, it is definitely looking like it will get above the 50' prediction.

Martindale was a mess and unfortunately did not have a well run donation/distribution center nor volunteer assignments.

Still glad our group went and were able to provide supplies and assistance.

Not sure if actually true, but wife just told me she saw on Facebook that the Brazos River bridge on SH 159 between Bellville and Hempstead has been closed. Message was that the sections have moved.

Kenneth,

Just saw that Martindale is in Caldwell County not Hays.

I do not know what type of food distribution they have.

Yeah, Caldwell counties eoc was not running efficiently in my opinion.

Won't let it stress me though. People that needed help were getting it, and that's what matters. Even the family of 5 ( all kids under 6 or 7, youngest probably 2) walking around passing out slices of ice cold watermelon to anyone willing to take a 5 minute break.

BTW, for anyone that's ever used Dons or Texas state tubes, that's the neighborhood we were cleaning. The river came up there at least 30 ft with zero warning. That's the first time I've ever seen concrete set fence posts ripped from the ground.
