Woke this morning to firefighter ringing my doorbell. Next door neighbors house (under construction) was hit by lightening and on fire. Luckily it did not spread to us, and was contained to their back addition. It was a stressful hour or so until they got it put out.

So according to the National Weather Service one of the highest recorded Brazos River levels in Richmond was in 1994 and it reached 50.3 feet.
Currently, it is projected to reach 49 feet at noon on Sunday. Things will get really interesting if the river gets higher than 50 feet.
quote:Ding! Ding! Correct. Yes, he just wants us to get some papers and his handicapped parking placard.

Get everything you care about out of the way. I suspect that the update is going to move up the crest. The real time data shows it will crest sooner or higher. After 40 ft we will slowly start losing access on the river. Projected close to 100,000 cf/s.
Posting this again to make sure everyone knows how to access flood gauges.
