Cutter yard spray will knock down mosquitos pretty good. Get the kind that screws onto a hose.
Thanks for the advice. They're like a cloud around my house (in Fort Worth). I've never seen them this bad. Do I just spray the yard and what not?

Get some malathion at lowes from spectricide, it is 50% ai. Put 2tbs per gallon of water and hit your trees, shrubs, under roof lines, and other problem areas with it. It will work very quickly and is safe once it dries. $7 of chemical will make 48 gallons of solution. Keep some mixed up and spray after it rains and you will knock most everything back.

edit to add: Malathion is an organophosphate (poisonous to everything) use caution around pets, kids, dumb adults.

Glancing at my rain gauge, it looks like we got about .75" here in Kingwood from 1 pretty quick downpour.
Look for a huge jump in water in lake Medina tomorrow. We are in port a, but mom says she's had 5+" and it's still coming. Privilege creek behind our house is almost to the bridge on 16 and the Bandera park is flooded.

Early corn is good, later corn is struggling.
We have had about 3" so far between Bulverde and Boerne and it is still pissing down.
My dad's rain gauge in Boerne is at 7" and climbing.....
Mom just said 4" at horseshoe bay since 4pm

Was out there Friday with our local rep to get a feel for things. Guys bringing in special headers to pick it up off the ground. Looks like a total loss, but they are hoping they can get some off the ground. We had a customer struggling to get his cucumbers out.
Damn. Only thing that can give those guys hope is they will have good water for next year....
