There is no *******ed way we are having near enough rain to get to 30', much less 42. If that ****ing happens im going on a *******ed fire breathing death rampage.

San Felipe is forecasted at 121' as of tonight. That would put enough water upstream to cause some damage. 116' usually corresponds to flooding around Allen's Creek and valley lodge.

I'm hoping they bump it down in AM.

But we are set to move cows out this weekend if forecasts hold...again.

Pleasant surprise! Not rain, but I've got over a half a foot of snow this morning. I live in South Lubbock.

Hope you are ready. Looks like it will be a moderate flood.

I doubt it hits 42, but the upper basin had a crap ton of rain and it has been so saturated the last several months that neat all of it will be runoff. The river will rise, and fairly high.

BRA was still releasinf periodically from the upper lakes as lat as a week or two ago as well. We are wet.

Parents got nickel sized hail at the ranch in Rocksprings. Here in Houston just lots of rain still. Waiting a little before going in to the office.

No hail, but enough rain in a short enough time period to get minor flooding inside. Made for a long night.

I saw a pic of some solid 2" hail from Campwood last night.

Corpus is at the dry, tail end of the front - 0.01 inches

Since yesterday I recorded 2.2" here in Denton. Forecast was 1-1.5". We were still fine to go without rain for a while...

We're right at about 60" of rain for the year in Burleson County now. 35-40 of that has come since September.

3.75" east of Caldwell, in Burleson county. Tired of the damn rain already, can't get anything done outside.

Lots of cotton still in the Brazos bottom and through this week I knew of some guys still intending to pick in January, this might have finally finished off what was left though....

We should finish right around normal, pretty amazing considering in September, we were in D4 Exceptional Drought conditions. Very dry Winter, Spring & Summer followed by a wet Fall.

I'm in SE Milam County, and we had a brief bout of small hail last night, too. Mostly a lot of rain and strong wind. The county roads are washed out in several places. I don't see how the oilfield is doing any work since we have lots of rig traffic. This rain is unreal, don't remember seeing this much rain. Also, parts of Milam, Robertson, and Brazos are clay soil, so it takes a long time for the water to move out. I bet we'll need a good month of dry weather for the water to dry up. I had someone tell me the water table around here (SE Milam) sits at 10 inches in the winter. It's basically a swamp when it's wet. Pretty land when it's dry and green, awful when it's full of water and everything is dead.

About 4" yesterday in S. Montgomery County. Supposed to pick up possibly another 1-3" Sat-Mon.

Not sure things will ever dry out.

I see some of you are finally coming around to my gripes about the rain. Sucks when the whole world is wet for this long.

We got another 2-3 inches here, just when it was starting to,dry out a smidge, we got dumped on again. Like clockwork.

Raining here. Again.

I quit hunting 2 days early last week because it was so wet. I think I spent probably 3 or 4 solid hours dragging a winch cable from tree to tree to get myself out, 'twas not fun at all. Especially when you step right out of a boot and right into shin deep mud with your socked foot. Made for a cold and long day squishing around. I need to buy a boot dryer I think, would be nice.

The good news is that cleaning my buggy was enough that I went and bought a new pressure washer, so I got it cleaned, plus my back porch and back of the house pressure washed, then used the surface cleaning attachment and pressure washed my driveway. So there's that.

This weekend is the last weekend though, I'll be back at it. Swapped tires on my buggy with better mud tires, so hopefully it's not quite as rough going. I have a long tined 7 point and an old 10 with a solid rack on camera, just hoping that they are there at the same time I am this weekend. One of them anyway.

Off topic...I got my pressure washer out last week to pressure wash a spot on the house that's been annoying me. Before I put it up, I thought "I wonder what the fence would look like after being pressure washed?" Since it looks like crap and I've thought about replacing sections of it, I did one section to see. The next day, I did the whole damn thing and it looks practically new. A few cracked boards will be replaced, but damn.

Got the Doe the boy shot yesterday still hanging.

Great decision except the game I wanted to watch was a total fubar with Georgia. Should have stayed cold and put it on ice last night in the wind.

We were on our way to Colorado during this storm and we're getting pounded on 87 the whole way. Through Texas it was pretty atrocious, think layer of ice on the road topped with a lot of snow. Plenty of wrecks on the road. Once we got to NM, where the DOT deals with winter weather more, they had closed the road from Clayton to Raton. Probably the right call but it sucked for the people who didn't look at a map and see 412, there were people who had been sitting there for 8+ hours!

For future notice, 412 from Clayton to I-25 is a great alternate as it is below a high plain ridge that protects it from most snow. Where 87 got hammered, 412 only got an inch or so and they're only a few miles apart most of the way.

I did that a couple of summers ago. Ended up doing the entire fence, then staining it with Thompson's. Turned into a significantly bigger project than I had envisioned.

i cannot believe this. there is NOWHERE NEAR enough rain to cause this. Something is up, big time. I had to move my damned freaked out cows again.

I need to find out what has changed so dramatically in the basin the last few years.
