You're staying in Garner, right? Plenty of water behind the damn and lots of fun stuff to do. Trails to hike, dance on Friday and Saturday, and wildlife to harass. It will be fun!

Y'all will have fun. Frio Bat cave is fun but it will be hot. Make sure you pay attention to all the hawks picking off bats when they fly out. Some cool history about the cave as well.

I'm not sure about the policy but if you're not dead set on Garner, you can probably park and hang around Neals. It's right off 127 and just a mile or so from 83 out of Uvalde.

Garner is a great park though and should green up a little bit in the next week with the recent rain. Lots of deer, axis, and cool views in the park.

That's the heaviest rainfall in 2 months. The other 2/10ths that we had were spread out over 4 days.

Sitting at a light in George west right now. POURING RAIN since the other side of three rivers. Everyone was driving 20 below the speed limit with their hazards on. Which was fine while they stayed in the right lane. Traffics all backed up now.

3 1/2" this afternoon. Nothing measurable this system before today. Maybe a little more coming, and maybe Beryl remnants in a week or so. Looks like the big blue H is coming home to roost again soon though.

Big blue always does. We got one decent rain this morning and a fly bye in the afternoon in Round Rock and better yet a cool Day. Not expecting another nice weather day for two months plus.

This is the time of year the corn is supposed to die regardless of the rainfall. Might be a few weeks early because it's been dry but corn has a very measurable and predictable life span.

Growers let feed corn that's not going to silage die in the field. It's my understanding that it still has to be dried some more at the silos, but you either get better pricing the lower the moisture content or the silo may not even take it above a certain moisture. The silo still has to do more drying to it after it's harvested.

Forecast shows it dropping to 90s late next week and even some rain chances popping in

Live east of Austin and my sage bushes are bloomed out. They are dang near 100% in predicting rain. Normally within a week.. of course there is zero rain chances in the forecast. Weird.

Yep, they are all blooming here too. They have a better track record than meteorologists. Odd to see them all blooming with no clouds anywhere close.
