I want to put a small LED light bar on a duck hunting boat. Thinking of using the trolling motor power outlet to power it.

The question, what do I look for in lights. I see light strips that are $100 and $500. What's the difference?!?

Thanks.

My 30" seelite on my duck boat lets my see further then brights on my truck.

Also, to hook it up to the trolling motor port, it only requires a $20 adapter.

I have lights from Beanledindustries.com on my rock crawler Jeep, Polaris, and bay boat. I use 1 flood and 2 spot lights on by boat.

The link I posted in the other thread - we have a 50" on the airboat and it's awesome. Just be sure to use a lot of thread locker because the vibration and bumps will knock the mounting bolts loose.

Do you remember where you got the adapter?

So many options on the lights...decisions, decisions.

Thanks!

Baja designs might still have the sale going on. My led bats are much brighter than any other ones I have seen around. With my setup I can see out further than a half a mile.

The difference in cost is mostly due to quality and then the time spent on optics design.

My seelite can see further then I can.

Be prepared for your light bar to come with two feet or red and black wire. That is it.

As far as the adapter I got mine as bass pro. Pretty sure academy has them to, as will any marine dealer. Pretty common, if your trolling motor is a 24v, you'll still want to use the 12v adapter. If you have to get the 24v adapter, like I did, tape the extra ground wire away.
