Must have been painful to watch the collection being dispersed.
Yes and no. Most were sitting in a barn collecting dust and rotting down. And only one of them was a "family" tractor. It belonged to an uncle. All the rest were collected after dad retired, so they weren't the tractors I grew up driving or anything.
I live too far away to deal with them, and don't have room for them here. My brother really had no interest in them, so we decided to let others enjoy them.
I did keep two. One is the (rare) John Deere Unstyled L, seen at the 5:26 mark of the video, with Dad cranking it. Built in 1937, it's one of only about 1400 made.

The other is a Gibson Super D2. This is not mine, just a photo I found on the Internet:

Kind of an oddball, built in Longmont, Colorado.
The only one I really regret letting go is the other Gibson, the model A. It only brought $800. But the kid who's dad bought it was driving it around and around the lot after, so it looks like it's going to a good home.
