So this new place was refurbished from an old bar semi-close to where I work - it's called the Redneck Country Club. The leader of it is Michael Berry - a country music radio host in the Houston area.

It's essentially a bar with a stage inside and a patio deck outside. You have to "become a member" to even be allowed in. They will have lots of country music artists come through and play - most of these concerts will be free to members, but the bigger ones will still require an entrance fee.
I guess my question is: do they really think this will be successful? Outside of corporate regimes buying memberships, will any individuals pay for this? The base membership fee is $250 a year which basically gets you and your spouse in the door and early notice to ticket sales (guests cost $20 per visit). Even for a company who buys a "Shotgun" membership that costs $25k for 3 years, they are only allowed 5 free guests per visit! Am I missing something here? This will never last...
