I know that Benny Hill is often referred to as the best when it comes to getting your shotgun 3-gun ready, but have any of y'all ever used C-Rums? C-Rums has a better price so I'm thinking of going with him.

I'm looking at beveling the loading port, having the carrier welded and having the throat polished. Benny wants close to $300 and C-Rums can do the work for $200. TIA.

Puryear Playboy speaks very highly of Benny and says he knows him personally.

CRums has a strong reputation among the 3gun crowd, and I have heard rumors around the 3gun clubs that Benny Hill just sends them to CRums. I have no truth upon which to place this, just rumors I have heard at the places I shoot.

I don't think you'd go wrong with either, have you looked around at the Brian Enos forum? there's lots of info there about all things 3gun:

I've looked at the Enos forum and that's how I heard of C-Rums.

Benny has been doing Benelli work for many years. If he uses C-Rums I would think it's just for welding up the lifter. My gun was done by Benny and has run perfect for many years, of course he was one of the only gunsmiths doing it back then.

That said the work you listed is pretty minor and I wouldn't hesitate to use C-Rums. He's the one that welded up my lifter because that didn't come standard on a TSS gun until more recently.

If the weather holds out. I don't really care to shoot in the rain. I've even tried to get the Mrs to join in, the stages look pretty good for a beginner, she doesn't want to shoot those little plates at 200 yards on the clock.
