To respond to some criticisms:

I am it fabricating anything, it happens to be that this has always intrigued me. Not trolling.

The last known picture was from my parents wedding in '79 I believe. Probably not much help. I've never met him and neither has my older brother

My dad and other uncle ran his SS# in 1995 with no credit history or death shown. This was done by a family friend in the FBI.

Yes, I do know he may not want to be found and that is completely okay. It is more for closure to know if he did die or not. Both my grandparents (his mom and dad) passed away within the last 10 years and I know that it would be nice for him to know that.

Lastly, my dad told me there was a group he would talk about that was based in Cali called the Lemurian http://www.lemurianconnection.com/category/welcome/

Lastly he went by "Don"

Camo, also wanted to suggest you try to make a connection with a missing person detective from the area he was last known to be. It would probably take a few emails and a face to face meeting. It's my guess that it would take em about 10 mins to find this guy using some of the search tools I previously described.

I'm not sure if an average joe can just sign up for a TLO account. I've never used it but I know people who do. They all have credentials of some sort.

As for Accurint- I use a subscription database that draws a lot of info from Accurint, including addresses reported to the 3 major credit bureaus.

I'm getting ready to plug him into it now. I wouldv'e done it sooner but its been a crazy 3-days of work down here in Corpus.

Fsguide, I bet you will have good luck with the Accurint. I thought TLO was open access (paid) even without credentials. I wish I could run him through TLO but don't want to violate any policies. I may be able to run him through LeadsOnline, but will have to look.

Seems like the Op has plenty of info on this guy, he just needs to meet someone with the right connections. I wish I could be of more help

I don't share the optimism that he will be found with a few mouse clicks. It's going to be a lot more complicated and difficult than that.

One thing I would suggest is making a facebook picture "meme", which would contain a photo and a caption with information directly on the photo...and try to get that photo out there in a viral fashion on social media, to whatever extent possible. Eyeballs is likely the key here. I don't share the OP's opinion that a photo wouldn't matter.

What if he changed his name?

I would think all of these databases mentioned would refer any name changes from the original name on a birth certificate, but obviously I don't know how these things work either.

They do pick up on name changes, I've seen it several times with people who go to prison and convert into a moozlum and change their name from Harold Washington to Mouthy al-Zaquari bin-Welfare.

Just read through all three pages here and this is interesting stuff.

Good luck to the OP and I'll be adding this one to the watchlist!

And a little excerpt from the Lemuria link above...

The Eastern coast of Lemuria also extended to California and part of British Columbia in Canada. For a very long time before the fall in consciousness, the Lemurians lived in a fifth dimensional frequency or dimension, and were able to switch back and forth from fifth to third at will, without any problem. It could be done whenever it was desired, by intension and the energies of the heart.

The Lemurian race was a mixture of beings that came mainly from Sirius, Alpha Centauri and a smaller number of them from other planets as well. Eventually, as these races mixed together on Earth, they formed the Lemurian civilization. To say the least, it was quite an awesome mixture. Lemuria was really the cradle of civilization on this planet, the “Motherland” who assisted in the eventual birth of many other civilizations. Atlantis came about at a later time.

Camo since I sent you that e-mail a couple days ago about the various lack of results using different variations of name & DOB there really hasn't been anything.

I got one reputable looking reply back today from my PI forum post. A lot of others coming in saying "We are great! Hire Us!"

Basically this guy said that they have been doing missing persons for 40+ and based on the information you provided from the previous searches by FBI guy and another PI and what I told him regarding the Accurint search he said it would be an extremely long shot to be able to find him (alive or not) after all this time. He also said that if they were to take a case like this they would have to use a lot of man hours of research and on the ground in various locations. And I can guarantee that would not be anywhere near cheap/affordable!! Most of these guys with such narrow specialties usually charge $100/hour or more + database fees + mileage.

Get me that email and I will let you know what I can access. Mine is my name, so I don't really want to post it.

Whatever happened to the standard TV PI rate of $200 a day plus expenses -- at least in the late '70s??

Totally forgot I came here 12 years ago for help. Got the itch and googled my uncles name again and this thread came up as the #2 link.

12 years later and still nothing, mainly for lack of trying. I was the last to show major interest in this.

In the past 5 years; my father passed away from Alzheimer's (LBD version, rare) at 64. The oldest brother passed from it as well couple year back, he was 82, the second oldest brother also passed last year at 80 with Alzheimer's. There was no family history of it in our family both their parents lived to 95. Anyway, i say this as I am sure my missing Uncle got it too, thus he is probably dead.

Here is his official MP Report which I could not find back in the day Missing Person / NamUs #MP13016 | NamUs
