My son is in the market for a Lab puppy, and is searching for a kennel that produces top dogs. Does anyone have any recommendations for a Texas breeder? He located a kennel called Silver Bullet in Mississippi that is supposed to be really great. Anyone know anything about these folks?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Greenstone Kennels in Kerrville has champion dogs they breed, but they've show type, not working type. Give them a call, they have beautiful dogs.

By "Top" dogs I assume you mean field dogs as opposed to show dogs. I am not sure where you are located but I would suggest you check out a Retriever Hunting Test. There will be lots of dogs owners as well as trainers. Here is a link to a list.

No need to leave the state of Texas to find a good lab. We have some very good trainers here in Texas. Give Rody a call. I dont think they have a litter on the ground right now, but he should know of a good litter.

I just checked Rody's web site and they have a litter being whelped later this month that looks good.
