I work near there and eat at that place once a week, its delicious. Also going to suggest Del's in Richardson.

I also work near Pappy's and they are a good choice for a quick lunch... Not my favorite but then again, I disagree with most about Kincaids and Twisted Root (where I got food poisoning last year)...

Patty Shack in Grand Prairie is pretty good.

Wouldn't let a single episode of food poisoning turn me off to a place. Now twice is a different story.

For the life of me, I can't understand the love for Twisted Root. I've been to just about all the places listed, except a couple, and about the only one I WILL NOT return to is Twisted Root.

If you order the Snuffers burger without salt (and forget the cheddar fries -- they're overrated; stick with the regular fries), you'll get a burger competitive with most or all listed here.

In Denton:

Denton County Independent Hamburger. The Hickory Burger is awesome.

Greenhouse Smoked burger. Not a burger joint but its really good.

Kincaid's is just meh to me... Not a bad burger by any means but definitely overrated. I like my burgers to be something different and I feel I could make a comparable burger to Kincaids at home.

You can add RG burger in denton.. they are not bad at all.

No mention on burger island?? Their big burger with jalapenos is good stuff.

Not even close. Went there today. Tastes like a double meat Whataburger. fries were terrible. There are very few places mentioned here that aren't way better.

went to a place near my brothers house where the beer was free. can't remember if the burger was good, but who cares -- the beer was free.

Roosters in Denton is average at best. Had it this weekend and wasn't impressed at all.

Ate at Twisted Root last night... Had the "Frito Bandito". Burger with Chili, Cheddar, Guac and Fritos. Loved the mix but this place is over priced and they need hand packed patties. Tastes processed to me.

Flip's gets a thumbs up!!!! Try the Blue Cheese Burger.
