Coral correct. Red into yellow right? Havent ever seen one with so many patterns though. My two labs brought this up to me while I was mowing this afternoon...

It "used" to be a coral snake.
Color pattern is definitely coral, but I agree with the OP in that this particular snake does have a very unique pattern as corals go.
Of course, it has been years since I crossed paths with one so my visual memory may be off a bit when compared to reality.

Does have some odd patterns but I don't see how it could be anything but a coral.

My backyard. Seguin, TX. This drought is bringing out all sorts of critters, and my back porch is filling up with them as gifts from my labs.
What are y'all seeing that is unusual? Every single coral snake I've encountered has always been splotchy like this.
Holding it out it front of you to make it look 8 ft long...
A lot of Coral Snakes i have seen in East Texas have almost as many black scales as red in the "Red" sections.

My wife made me get my own freezer to stash the snakes I found dead on the road. I pushed her over the edge when I got home late one night and threw a little rock rattlesnake in the freezer. He was not bloody, so i did not even think twice. She was no amused when he was stuck to one of her Hot Pocket boxes.
Looks more like a chew toy to me. Lol
It's not everyday you get to hear a guy admit on a public forum that his wife was not amused to find his little snake stuck to the side of her hot pocket box.
I got two coral snakes here in Wilson county this year. I made one hat band for me, and am going to make another one for my son. Not hard to do at all.
Nice one goose!
