From looking online, it looks like Somerville Steakhouse fell off the map. Are there any other decent places to eat in the area?

Not really. Las Fuentes is a Mexican restaurant on the north side of town on hwy 36. Used to frequent it about once a week. It's pretty decent.

Is there a steakhouse still in Snook? If so, what's the quality?

Yeah, the steakhouse is still there on 60 in Snook. Last time I was in there was about 2 years ago and it was just meh. Wasn't really impressed. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, anymore.

No. There is nothing worth eating there. The steak house was never any good to begin with unless you like avarege steak for an alright price.

Boondock's Cafe has opened (late March) in the old Steakhouse location. Heavy on fish/seafood, but steaks on the menu. We enjoyed our one vist so far (catfish).

We typically stick to the burgers at Sodolak's in Snook...good meal.

There is a Texas Stop Sign... Dairy Queen. That is what I normally eat when I am in the area.

I've eaten at a couple of decent places up near the state park, but not in town itself. I pretty much always hit up the DQ.

Many memories of Somerville Steakhouse, my brother ate the large steak and then dunked his ring one night, good times.

Is the Somerville Steakhouse the same as the Country Inn?

We used to drive down to the Country Inn at least once a month.

I took a nobel laureate to dinner in there once.

Yes country inn is gone, recently boondocks opened in its place. I tried it out and it was more of a seafood menu, although they do have steaks. I had a chicken fried steak that was pretty good fwiw.

Mamas cafe across the street is a wanna be country inn, ok but not as good if you ask me.
