Stoney had a good thread about Fairfield lake and it's redfish, and that got me to thinking what other lakes in Texas have redfish in them? I thought that Reds were stocked in Lake Colroado City, are there any others that ya'll know of?

Calaveras - pretty close to Braunig.

If you can get in and fish them, try Columbia Lakes down near Angleton. The back lake in particular. Tremendous bass and the occasional red that got pumped into the lakes as a fingerling from the mouth of the brazos. Not intentionally stocked, but a handful of monster reds there none-the-less.

I've caught some on Lake Livingston.

Fresh water redfish and Gaspagoo(sp.) are the same thing right?

Redfish do just fine in freshwater, they just won't reproduce (at least that's how it was explained to me long ago). In fact, they get really freaking big because they're the top dog in that system.

There are reds in Tradinghouse creek resevoir near waco, never caught any, but saw some old guys at the boat ramp with some monsters. Not a far drive from CS. I think they said to use goldfish.
