DPMS lower, rifle looks great and brand new (other than being test fired). no significant scratches or dents. Definitely a very good deal!

Anyway, now I need magazines and rear sights at a minimum. I'm surprised flip-up rear iron sights are going (in most places) for $80-110. That's quite an incremental expense on a rifle that started out at $570!

I've seen a few for $40 or so, but don't want to throw money away on crap.

It's funny that there seem to be more red dot optics priced below $75 than iron sights!

Anyone got any recommendations for sights/optics/magazines/etc?

I recommend the pmag polymer magazines. Very good stuff. They go for around $15 each.

I have a command arms detachable carry handle that has worked well for me. It holds a zero. (and is easy on the wallet)

I put a Larue BUIS on my CMMG bargain bin and have been completly happy with it. I think it was around $100 including tax and shipping.

I just picked mine up from my FFL on Friday and got a BUIS at the Houston Gun show on Saturday. You might want to check Aim Surplus online. They had one that was less that $50.

Troll the AR15.com equipment exchange for good deals on lightly used parts. Also, Numrich carries Stag detachable carry handles for about $50.

If I may...you are better off buying a good quality folding rear sight now. That carry handle will end up in a box somewhere as soon as you get some sort of optic and it will be $40 wasted.

The less expensive stuff does not return to Zero when you reattach it so, you will have to re-zero everytime you take it off/put it on.
