Port Aransas.....I have a bunch of these.

Port Aransas sunset.....

I had left Santa Fe early one morning headed up past Gunnison to elk camp. Not sure where I was on 285. It was a narrow two lane road parallel to a railroad track......no place to stop. Camera was buried under hunting gear. I finally found a place to pull over I think around Romeo. dug the camera out and got two pics and it was gone.

Some amazing calendar-worthy pics here. Maybe becausr I'm a mom, but I love the ones with kids enjoying the outdoors. Some of my favorites are Swarely's long ago pic at Padre and Sunchaser(?)'s photo of the boy with the fish-he just looks so happy. Also liked the ones where the kiddos are still and contemplative. As small as they are, children are wonderful thinking observers and no place allows that as well as nature.

I have a lot of pictures of grand kids. This is the same one a couple of years before. We were fly fishing in Wyoming. This might have been the first one he caught all by himself. I also have some pictures.......... with teeth.

All of our kids were imprinted by their mom. She had a great great love for the Texas coast and our kids do also. We got seven photos from them similar to this as it was passed down to another generation. This is the boy with the rainbow and cuttbow.

This is a grand daughter......now driving. I have always liked to watch their love of nature develop.

Apache Jr. getting his first buck this fall was a picture I've been waiting to take since he was born.
He got 'em with the same 22-250 that I shot my first buck with 36 years ago.

He looks so pleased (and he should be).

Sunchaser- no matter how big they grow, they will always have those wonderful memories. That time spent together is irreplaceable and what families treasure most. My children lost their last surviving grandparent and absolutely their favorite thing has been the wonderful stories and memories when we sit and reminisce.
