Was bored dove hunting last year and was balancing my ring on my shotgun so I took this.


Terrible quality because it's an iPhone trying to take a picture at night....the small dot is the international space station as it flew above my house one night with the moon sitting above it.


Not one I took, but one my sister took of our family heeler watching some of our cows out at the farm.

Good thread. Too bad so many good pictures disappear when we change hosting companies.I love the sunset and sunrise pictures and those from the panhandle are impossible to compete with.



This one was taken on the Rio Negro peacock bass fishing several years ago. While in Manaus we took a small party boat out to see the coming together of the Rio Negro & the Amazon. A little ways from there they stated that the river was about 8 miles wide. We flew about 250 miles from Manaus and took a 100 mile boat ride from there. We spent seven days on the very top of the double deck boat having drinks at sunset. They were brief..never got a good one. Every time we got to a pinch point in a lagoon etc you could tell that the water was moving. We fished primarily in 2-3' of water. Our huge boat had a pretty shallow draft. We hit a couple of sand bars making the nightly runs. The main river body was around 5-6' deep. At one point they pointed out that the Rio Negro was 18 miles wide....I couldn't argue, Banks were beautiful white sand from time to time.

Two of my favorites out of many... I am very biased as the photographer is my mom... many more at her webpage, if any of you feel like looking. Some really good shots of Elk and Deer too. Would make some hunters cry...
